Mary's interests lie in design, architecture, and art history. In hopes of combining the three, Mary takes on tasks with a sensitivity towards both flat design and dimensionality, while informed by history. She is interested in the conflicting relationship between old versus modern and using aspects of both to create a new form. At times, this takes on the form of figure-ground, visual illusions, and the intertwining of text and image. While always searching to break the boundaries of design, Lim revels in the ideation process and never ceases to settle with one concept.
